Khalid A. Latif is a highly accomplished executive with more than 35 years of experience in the aluminum industry. In April 2024, he was appointed Group Chief Executive Officer of Midal Cables B.S.C (C), bringing to the role extensive expertise in both operations and marketing, as well as a proven record of strategic leadership.
Mr. Latif began his career at Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) in 1989 as an apprentice and advanced steadily through the organization. In 2012, he was named Marketing & Operations Manager, a dual role that gave him responsibility for both commercial development and operational performance. His success in this position led to his promotion as Chief Marketing Officer in 2015, where he further built his reputation as an industry leader.
He holds an MBA from the French Arabian Business School / ESSEC (Bahrain) and is recognized for his ability to integrate business insight with operational expertise. His leadership style emphasizes collaboration, efficiency, and long-term value creation.
Today, as Group CEO of Midal Cables, Mr. Latif oversees the company’s international footprint, including plants in Bahrain, Mozambique, and Saudi Arabia, and offices in Canada and the United Kingdom, guiding its global operations with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and continuous growth.

Mr. Voss is a long-term public affairs and governmental relations expert with 20 years of experience in the Brussels and energy sector. Prior to joining the aluminium industry, Mr. Voss served as Managing Director at Euroheat & Power, the association for the European district energy sector, and as Head of Public and Industrial Affairs at energy solutions provider Danfoss District Energy.
A British-Belgian national, Paul Voss is married with three children and holds degrees in Political Science and European Public Administration from Universities in Canada, France and Belgium.

Zaid is a principal analyst covering primary and secondary aluminium, value-added products, aluminium raw materials, and carbon products in North America and worldwide. Prior to joining the aluminium analysis team, Zaid spent six years with CRU’s consulting division as head of aluminium consulting. Before CRU, he worked for several years at Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) in the UAE where he led the market research unit and held various positions within marketing and sales, corporate strategy, and finance. He previously worked in London for a number of commodity-focused firms as an analyst, including Thomson Reuters and Diapason Commodities Management, where he managed the precious and base metals research unit. He began his commodities research career in 2002 as an economist with AUPEC, an oil and gas consultancy firm. Zaid holds an MA with honours in Economic Science from the University of Aberdeen and an MSc in Economics from the University of Amsterdam. Zaid is fluent in Arabic and French.

Alex Tuckett is Head of Economics at CRU. He has over 15 years experience in economic analysis. Alex joined CRU in 2020 from PwC, where he was a Senior Manager in their economics advisory practice, leading analytical projects for a range of clients as well as contributing to their macroeconomic commentary. He began his career in the UK Treasury, later moving to the Bank of England, and has provided macroeconomic modelling and analysis to policymakers in fiscal, monetary and financial policy. He has published his analysis through a number of working papers, journal articles and blog posts on topics including productivity, exchange rates and modelling credit flows. Alex has an MSc in Economics from University College London, and a BSc in Economics and Economic History from the London School of Economics.

Emilio Braghi is Chief Operating Officer, Novelis Inc., and President, Novelis Europe. In this role, he oversees 10 European manufacturing facilities that recycle and manufacture aluminium for many markets, including automotive, aerospace, beverage cans, building, packaging, and transportation.
Mr. Braghi previously was Vice President, Operations, Novelis North America. Before that, he served as Vice President, Sales and Operations for Novelis Asia, with responsibility for all commercial and manufacturing activities in the region. Prior to joining the Asia leadership team in March 2012 as Vice President, Operations, Mr. Braghi served as Vice President and General Manager to the Specialties value stream in Europe. From 2006 to 2012, he held various general management roles with Novelis Europe’s Litho and Painted Products value streams.
Prior to the formation of Novelis, Mr. Braghi had been with Alcan since 1999, where he began as Sales Manager, Europe.
Mr. Braghi graduated from Politecnico di Milano with a degree in engineering and industrial production technologies.

Laura worked extensively in the metals and mining sectors, leading on-the-ground site assessments. She is an approved Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) Lead Auditor and Auditor for the Responsible Steel Standard. She led independent assurance engagements for a number of DNV’s clients over supply chain due diligence, including assessments against ASI, OECD, LME, CSDDD, CSRD/ESRS, IRMA, ICMM, ISAE3000, GRI, ISO 14064.

James leads the Control Risks Business & Human Rights team. He has over 20 years of advanced international experience as a lawyer and responsible business practitioner.
His work spans the full extent of the global BHR practice but he has a particular specialism in labour rights and worker welfare issues.
As a co-founder of the UN award winning fair labour company FSI Worldwide, James is a recognised international expert on migration for work. This was also the subject of his PhD from King’s College London.
James regularly advises senior executives on business and human rights issues and is recognised for bringing clarity to complex situations and developing innovative and practical solutions for companies and rightsholders.
In addition to his PhD, James holds degrees in Law, International Relations, Politics, Philosophy and Economics. He is a regular writer, speaker and commentator on business and human rights issues.
